HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE EXCITING NEW PLANS FOR ARMADA WAY
Exciting new proposals for Armada Way will be published next week and it’s important that all city centre businesses have their say.
The City Centre Company supported the previous scheme as vital to the regeneration of the city centre and a unique opportunity to give Armada Way a contemporary new look to attract investors, visitors, shoppers and residents.
That plan was halted by protests and subsequent legal action which has delayed the start of work by at least 18 months.
But new plans for substantial investment will be revealed as part of a six-week public consultation on Tuesday 17 October with residents and businesses being asked their views.
Plymouth City Council has engaged an independent company – ECF – to lead the management, delivery and evaluation of the public consultation that will gather insight to help shape the final design.
ECF will also be:
- Surveying people (including staff in local businesses) on Armada Way and other nearby locations throughout the consultation
- Holding workshops with families, older people and those with disabilities
- Holding 1-2-1 conversations with key stakeholders
- Creating a display of the proposals on Armada Way
- Placing hard copies of the survey in Central Library – people can request a survey from staff and return it via a secure box
Remember, the creation of an environmentally friendly urban park and improving the look and feel of Armada Way will lead to further investment, attract new businesses and visitors and benefit all city centre businesses.
