New central hub for skills and adult education services in Plymouth

A new ‘one-stop shop’ for skills and post-16 education services provided by Plymouth City Council is opening in the city centre this summer.

The new space on the first floor of Cobourg House on Mayflower Street will help to deliver integrated, face-to-face education and employment support services for residents.

The move has been welcomed by the City Centre Company as more investment in the city centre

Our chief executive, Steve Hughes, said: “This is yet another example of more workers being based in the city centre and more people coming in for advice or to access training and education. That all helps with footfall and extra trade for our businesses. It’s also good news for Mayflower Street, which is filling up nicely with a good collection of independent businesses.”
