The Plymouth City Centre Company is teaming up with the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership to launch a gift card for the city to attract more shoppers to your businesses.
Our Love Plymouth Gift Card will give us the opportunity to divert spend back into the Plymouth economy and strengthen our high street.
And the best news is, it is FREE for businesses and quick and easy to implement.
The gift card will be a pre-paid Mastercard which can be spent at registered businesses only and will work in the same way as a credit or debit card at your till points with no additional equipment required.
The card will be available to buy as a physical or digital card and will be the perfect gift for many in time for Christmas.
Steve Hughes, our chief executive, said: “This is something we promised in our business plan to provide a direct benefit to our city centre businesses at no cost to them. This will be perfect to keep spend local this Christmas and we urge businesses to sign up now.”
We will be working with trusted provider Miconex which supplies gift cards to towns and cities across the UK. The cards will be available to buy from a fully supported e-commerce site, making it easy for consumers to buy from anywhere in the world for loved ones in the Plymouth area who will be able to choose which registered Plymouth businesses they want to visit.
With 90% of gift card recipients spending more than the value of the gift card, why wouldn’t you want to be part of the gift card program.
Once we have the first businesses signed up and ready to go, the City Centre Company and Plymouth Waterfront Partnership will launch a marketing and PR campaign to the public.
We will also contact local employers who run incentive schemes or want to reward staff to join in by buying Love Plymouth gift cards as a way of supporting the Plymouth economy.
