We Back The Plymouth UK City of Culture BID

We are delighted to announce that the directors of the City Centre Company voted unanimously to back the UK  City of Culture bid at its board meeting on January 21.

Securing the title will give Plymouth the opportunity to celebrate the people and places that make the city so vibrant, while supporting the city’s wider ambitions for inclusive growth and regeneration. The city centre and its businesses have the opportunity to be at the heart of these exciting plans.

From music, performance, heritage and visual arts to film, festivals, sport and community-led projects, the bid will showcase the breadth of creativity already thriving across Plymouth, including our ambitious and growing programme of outdoor events in our new city centre public spaces which will attract thousands more visitors and customers.
